Toni was such a tremendous help preparing me for Penelope’s passing. She was 15 years old, and you could tell life was getting more complicated and less fun for her. She was my first pet and best friend through so much of my life.

Although we didn’t know exactly WHEN Penelope would pass or how, when the time did come, it was much easier to make smart choices about how to care for her.

Penelope woke up Christmas morning and was not her normal self. She did not perk up during Christmas dinner, so it became apparent we needed to take her to the emergency vet.
